Post-Publication Discussions

Jurnal Prima Medika Sains, published and managed by the Institute for Research and Community Service (Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat—LPPM), Universitas Prima Indonesia, encourages constructive academic dialogue and post-publication discussion to promote scientific advancement, research transparency, and the continuous improvement of scholarly publications in health and medical sciences.

Readers, researchers, healthcare professionals, and academics may submit scholarly comments, scientific critiques, questions, or Letters to the Editor concerning articles previously published in Jurnal Prima Medika Sains. Submissions must be sent through the journal’s official editorial contact channels.

Post-publication contributions may address the scientific validity, methodology, interpretation of findings, clinical relevance, public health implications, research ethics, or other substantive aspects of previously published articles within the journal’s scope, including Public Health, Clinical Medicine, Tropical Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Dentistry, and Pharmacy.

All submissions will be evaluated by the editorial team based on their scientific relevance, scholarly quality, accuracy, objectivity, originality, and compliance with the journal’s publication ethics policies. Personal attacks, defamatory statements, unsupported allegations, and comments that do not contribute meaningfully to scientific discussion will not be considered suitable for publication.

Where appropriate, the authors of the original article will be invited to respond to the comments or criticisms. The editorial team will assess both the submitted discussion and the authors’ response fairly and objectively, ensuring that all parties have a reasonable opportunity to present their scientific arguments.

If the discussion identifies potential errors, concerns regarding research integrity, or issues that may affect the reliability of a published article, the journal may initiate further assessment in accordance with its applicable policies on corrections, retractions, and allegations of research misconduct.

Accepted comments, Letters to the Editor, and corresponding author responses may be published in a subsequent issue or through another publication format designated by the journal. Publication decisions will be based on scholarly merit, relevance, and compliance with editorial requirements.

Through this policy, Jurnal Prima Medika Sains is committed to fostering open, respectful, evidence-based, and ethically responsible academic dialogue. The journal recognizes post-publication discussion as an important mechanism for strengthening research quality, improving scientific understanding, and maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record in health and medical sciences.
