Conflict of Interest Policy

Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Industri Prima (JURITI PRIMA), published and managed by the Institute for Research and Community Service (Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat – LPPM), Universitas Prima Indonesia, is committed to ensuring transparency, objectivity, and integrity throughout the publication process.

A conflict of interest occurs when an author, reviewer, or editor has financial, professional, personal, institutional, or other relationships that could improperly influence, or be perceived to influence, their judgment and decisions regarding a manuscript.

Authors' Responsibilities

All authors submitting manuscripts to JURITI PRIMA must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that may affect the research, its interpretation, or the publication process. Such conflicts may include employment, consultancy, financial support, research funding, personal relationships, patents, or other affiliations relevant to the submitted work.

If no conflicts of interest exist, authors should include a statement such as: "The authors declare that there are no conflicts of interest regarding the publication of this paper."

Reviewers' Responsibilities

Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that could compromise their impartiality in evaluating a manuscript. Reviewers who have personal, professional, financial, or collaborative relationships with the authors or institutions involved should notify the editorial team and decline the review when such relationships may affect their objectivity.

Editors' Responsibilities

Editors must make editorial decisions fairly and independently, based on the manuscript's scientific quality, originality, relevance to the journal's focus and scope, and compliance with publication ethics. Editors must not handle manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest. Such manuscripts should be assigned to another qualified editor to ensure an impartial evaluation.

Management of Conflicts of Interest

JURITI PRIMA will assess disclosed conflicts of interest and take appropriate measures to prevent them from compromising the integrity of the editorial and peer-review processes. These measures may include reassignment of reviewers or editors, requests for additional disclosures, and publication of relevant conflict-of-interest statements where appropriate.

Failure to disclose a relevant conflict of interest may result in editorial action, including rejection of a manuscript or correction, expression of concern, or retraction of a published article, depending on the circumstances and seriousness of the case.

All authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to uphold the principles of transparency, fairness, accountability, and academic integrity throughout the publication process.

For questions or disclosures concerning conflicts of interest, authors, reviewers, and other relevant parties may contact the editorial team of JURITI PRIMA at juriti@unprimdn.ac.id.
