SOSIALISASI KESEHATAN TENTANG PAHAMI IMS DAN CEGAH RESIKONYA

Infeksi Menular Seksual (IMS) merupakan salah satu penyakit yang diakibatkan oleh virus, bakteri, protozoa, parasit ataupun jamur. Penularannya dapat terjadi melalui hubungan seksualitas, alat-alat yang terkontaminasi ataupun dapat menular melalui ibu hamil kejanin yang dikandungnya ataupun pada saat proses persalinan berlangsung. Pengetahuan tentang IMS sangatlah penting untuk mengetahui apa saja jenis dari IMS serta tanda dan gejalanya. Peningakatan pengetahuan dapat dilakukan dengan cara menyebar informasi yakni dengan cara melakukan sosialisasi dan diskusi kepada masyarakat khusunya pada ibu-ibu rumah tangga. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan metode sosialisasi dan metode diskusi. Proses sosialisasi diberikan secara langsung. Kegiatan Pengabdian ini diharapkan meningkatkan pengetahuan para Ibu rumah tangga yang dapat secara langsung mengedukasi keluarganya baik suami serta anaknya, sehingga dapat mengurangi resiko kejadian IMS di dalam keluarga yang dapat mengurangi angka kejadian IMS di masyarakat
