The Relationship between Fulfillment of Patients' Spiritual Needs and Inpatient Satisfaction at Assyifa Sukabumi Hospital

The fulfillment of spiritual needs has an important role in providing calmness, comfort, and increasing patient satisfaction during treatment in the hospital. Holistic nursing services not only focus on meeting physical needs, but also include the spiritual aspects of the patient. This study aims to determine the relationship between the fulfillment of patients' spiritual needs and the level of satisfaction of inpatients at Assyifa Sukabumi Hospital. This study used a quantitative method with a correlational descriptive design and a cross sectional approach. The research sample amounted to 86 inpatients who were selected using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The results of the Kruskal-Wallis test research with the help of the SPSS 22.0 computer application for Windows showed a p value of 0.005 (p < 0.05). The results of this study show that the fulfillment of good spiritual needs is associated with an increase in patient satisfaction levels.
