Abstract
Hospital is a gathering place for all kinds of diseases, both infectious and non-communicable. In terms of origin or infection, it can come from the community (community acquired infection) or come from the hospital environment (Hospital acquired infection) which was previously known as nosocomial infection. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of individual, organizational and behavioral factors on nurse compliance in implementing hand hygiene in the inpatient room of Batu Bara Hospital. This type of research is a survey. The population in this study were 70 nurses who worked at Batubara Hospital and all of them were sampled. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test at the 95% confidence level, α = 5%. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of individual factors on nurses' compliance in implementing hand hygiene. There is an influence of organizational factors on nurses' compliance in implementing hand hygiene. Nurses' compliance in implementing Hand Hygiene is influenced by organizational factors of 4,119 times. For the management of Batu Bara Hospital to improve the promotion strategy of lefleat media and MMT hand hygiene in the form of quality improvement (design, word / sentence structure, size), increasing the number, and placement locations that are easily seen by anyone.
