Abstract

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a disease characterized by a progressive decline in kidney function that requires assistance in the form of dialysis machine replacement therapy to replace kidney function. Hemodialysis with a hemodialysis machine must be carried out routinely 2-3 times a week and continuously for the life of the patient. In addition to hemodialysis or routine dialysis, CKD patients also have to consume relatively large amounts of drugs which, if not consumed regularly, will trigger an acute condition that may worsen kidney function. The method used in the activity is an approach to empowering the community. The community was formed through several activities, namely: coordinating with RT administrators, hamlets, and community leaders providing care services for kidney failure patients, providing empowerment for kidney failure patients, giving rewards to sufferers, giving door prizes after activities, giving rewards to cadres. achieved after participating in the implementation of this activity is to again remind patients about how to treat kidney disease, namely by means of hemodialysis
