Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is a public health problem in the world, especially in developing countries including Indonesia, as well as in Sei Agul. The number of cases that are still very high is not proportional to the case finding rate and the patients success rate of treatment is still low. How prevention can be done to face the percentage of TB case finding is still low and the rate of recovery is also still low is to provide training to health cadres to prevent TB transmission. The one solution that can be given is to provide understanding and training to health cadres to prevent TB transmission, as well as to preserve undetected cases. The methods used are counseling and training aimed at increasing knowledge and understanding on prevention of TB transmission for health cadres. The result of this community service implementation is the increase of knowledge and understanding of health cadres about TB disease, which then can prevent transmission of TB because the cadre can act as counselor, help to find the patient early, referring the patient and also the supervisor for TB patient directly.
