Abstract

Alzheimer's is a disease of the brain that causes a person's condition to experience a decrease in memory function, way of thinking, way of socializing, way of communicating, thus affecting the way sufferers of this disease live their daily lives. Neurologist at Borromeus Hospital, Yustiani Dikot, said dementia is a collection of symptoms that cause cognitive impairment, namely memory, attention, memory, language/communication to behavior or personality. This happens due to hypertension or stroke. Other dementia occurs due to parkinsen and others. Data from the Ministry of Health stated that Alzheimer's disease mostly affects elderly people aged 65 years and over. The method used in activities through stages includes counseling/education, training, and mentoring. The community was formed through several activities, namely: coordinating with RT administrators, hamlets, and community leaders providing health services regarding hospitalization, Knowledge counseling services about the impact of Alzheimer's sufferers, Education on the impact of Alzheimer's disease on the community, Health education on nutrition and personal hygiene, Giving gifts to the Community, Door prizes after the counseling activities, Giving gifts to cadres. The results achieved after participating in the counseling and discussion of the people of Paluh Sibaji Village know about Alzheimer's dementia and the impact of Alzheimer's dementia
