Abstract

In Indonesia, HIV sufferers in 2019 reached 50,282 cases and for AIDS there were 7,036 cases, meaning that the number of HIV and AIDS cases has increased over the last eleven years. While data on HIV sufferers in West Nusa Tenggara Province in 2019 reached 258 cases and in 2020 there were 125 new cases of HIV sufferers where the age group with the most HIV cases was in the 25-49 year age group and by sex. . The sex of the majority of HIV sufferers was male as many as 81 people (64.8%). The purpose of this community service activity by providing KIE about HIV to adolescents is to provide knowledge to adolescents as a preventive and promotive effort against HIV and to minimize HIV transmission that occurs. This activity was carried out on December 18 2022 in Paluh Sibaji village involving 71 participants and the method used was lectures and discussions with the delivery of material in the form of PowerPoint and videos. The result of this activity was an increase in participants' knowledge and behavior towards HIV/AIDS which was obtained from the results of the participants' pre-test and post-test.
