Abstract

A poor quality of life will further worsen the condition of a disease, especially chronic diseases that are difficult to cure such as diabetes mellitus. Diabetics have a negative influence on the quality of life of sufferers even without complications. The methods used in the activity go through a series of stages including training, and mentoring. The community is formed through a series of activities, namely: supporting and community leaders providing health services and training on palliative care, providing health education about healthy lifestyles, providing rewards for the community, providing door prizes after health service activities, providing rewards to cadres or community leaders. The purpose of this study is to improve the quality of life as well as those addressed in palliative care of not only patients, but also their families. The results obtained after attending palliative care training by DM patients in Tanjung Gusta Village, the community and patients know how to do palliative care by going up and correctly.
