Abstract

Cancer is a terminal disease that requires long-term care and high costs. Palliative intervention is needed in terminal patients. This study aims to evaluate how basic skills training provided to family caregivers can improve the quality of life (QoL) of palliative care. Researchers concluded that communication is effective by providing informational support and psychological support to patients and families in making decisions regarding the conditions that occur in patients. The results of the development of activities to be achieved are increased knowledge and skills in promoting cancer prevention or awareness and being able to treat cancer patients in the community who experience physical and psychological problems and then teach them to patients and their families.
