Abstract
The export oriented furniture industry implements tooling management system to reduce time wastage. Wasting time occurs because of equipment search and repairs activities. Equipment searchs occurs because there is no information of tool availability. While equipment repairs occur because of improper storage methods so that the faulty device and must be repaired before use. Implementation of tooling management system requires the existence of information systems to support the ease and speed of data access of equipment. To solve that problems required a tooling management information system that is able to provide information on the type of equipment, equipment storage location, equipment status, and equipment existence. Tooling management information system aims to control the rotation of tools in the tool room and shop floor. Tooling management information systems, update information about transactions that take place in the tool room, data of new equipment and disposal equipment can be controlled easily and quickly
