FAKTOR-FAKTOR PENYEBAB TERJADINYA TUBERKULOSIS PARU DI PUSKESMAS BINJAI ESTATE TAHUN 2022

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis is a contagious infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium
tuberculosis which can enter the respiratory tract, digestive tract, and open wounds in the skin area. In
Indonesia, cases of pulmonary tuberculosis occurred, based on gender, positive smear cases in men were
higher with 60.45% cases than in women with 39.55% cases. According to age group, the highest smear
positive cases were found in the age group of 45-54 years, namely 20.05%. Pulmonary tuberculosis is a
contagious infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis which can enter the
respiratory tract, digestive tract, and open wounds in the skin area. The purpose of this study was to determine
the factors causing pulmonary tuberculosis at the Binjai Estate Health Center in 2022. This type of research
was descriptive with a cross-sectional study design, a sample of 20 people, and the sampling method used
was accidental sampling. This data was taken using a questionnaire. The results showed that the most
dominant factor in the occurrence of tuberculosis was due to socio-economic as much as 14 (70%). It is hoped
that health workers at the Binjai Estate Community Health Center will be more routine in conducting
counseling to patients with pulmonary tuberculosis precisely about the factors that cause pulmonary
tuberculosis.
