Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Terjadinya Hipertensi di RSU Royal Prima Medan 2025

Abstract

Hypertension occurs when the pressure in the blood vessels is too high (140/90 mmHg or higher). The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the occurrence of hypertension at Royal Prima Medan Hospital in 2025. Researchers used descriptive quantitative research, sampling techniques using accidental sampling. The data analysis used was univariate analysis carried out to describe the frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test. This study found that the p-value for gender was 0.030 less than 0.050, for age 0.030 less than 0.050, family history 0.042 less than 0.050, smoking 0.009 less than 0.050, and the p-value for obesity 0.009 less than 0.050.
