Chronic kidney failure is one of the diseases that continues to increase in the percentage and number of cases every year (Suparmo, 2021). One of the functions of the kidneys is to remove waste and toxins through the urine and maintain the balance of fluids and electrolytes in the body, therefore if kidney function is disturbed and damage occurs, fluids, electrolytes, waste and metabolic toxins will accumulate in the body. The fluid that should be excreted through urine is actually retained, so that the body experiences swelling or edema (DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, 2022). GGK patients who have undergone hemodialysis must pay attention to limiting fluid intake so that edema does not occur. Therefore, the researcher is interested in researching the level of compliance in restricting fluid intake in GGK patients at Royal Prima Medan Hospital with a descriptive research method using a questionnaire, and the number of samples used is 30 patients with the results of the analysis of fluid intake restriction compliance of chronic kidney failure clients undergoing HD found that the majority of patients do not comply with fluid intake restrictions. namely 20 patients with a percentage of 70%.
