Abstract

Chronic renal failure (CKD) occurs when kidney function declines gradually and cannot recover as before where the body loses the ability to maintain a normal balance of metabolism, fluids and electrolytes resulting in uremia or azithaemia. The following study aims to determine how the description of body image in patients who carry out haemodialysis therapy in the haemodialysis room of RSU Royal Prima Medan. The results of the study of body image in 57 patients with GGK who underwent haemodialysis therapy. It was found that the majority of respondents showed a positive body image, namely as many as 20 respondents or 35.1%, this shows that more than a third of patients have a good perception of their body even though they are undergoing haemodialysis therapy.
