Based on the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey, the prevalence of obesity among adults over 18 years old reached 23.4%. A preliminary survey of 10 students at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Jambi, found 3 students to be obese. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with obesity among students at the faculty. This quantitative study used an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach and involved 136 respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data collection utilized instruments such as the Stunkard Figure Rating Scale, PSQI, IPAQ-SF, PSS, and FFQ, along with direct measurements of body weight and height. The study found that 21% of the students were obese. There were significant associations between obesity and sex (p=0.017), parental body shape (p=0.025), sleep quality (p=0.005), and physical activity (p=0.005). However, no significant association was found with stress (p=0.361), consumption of high-risk foods (p=0.277), or fruit and vegetable intake (p=0.070). Sleep quality was identified as the most dominant factor (Adj PR 12.788). Sex was a protective factor, while parental body shape, poor sleep quality, and low physical activity were risk factors for obesity.

Keywords: Obesity, College Students, Parental Stature, Stress, Sleep Quality, Consumption Patterns
Nouval Ramadhan Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesmas Prima Indonesia 2025-08-07 2025-08-07 9 2 215 233 10.34012/jkpi.v9i2.7058 Red Ginger Reduced Pain Due to Primary Dysminorrhoea in Adolescent Girls https://jurnal.unprimdn.ac.id/index.php/JKPI/article/view/7322
Primary dysmenorrhea is common among adolescent girls and affects their quality of life and daily activities. Therefore,
effective and safe treatments are needed. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of red ginger consumption in reducing the intensity of primary dysmenorrhea pain in adolescent girls. The research design used was a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study was conducted at SMK "P" Batu City from September to December 2024, involving 32 adolescent female participants selected through a total sampling technique. The independent variable was the consumption of red ginger, 200 ml, twice daily (morning and evening), and the dependent variable was the intensity of dysmenorrhea pain. Pain levels were measured before and after the intervention using direct observation instruments. Data analysis was performed by calculating the frequency distribution and the Wilcoxon statistical test. The results showed that before the intervention, most respondents experienced moderate pain (59.4%) and severe pain (21.9%). After red ginger consumption, there was a significant decrease in pain intensity. On the first day of intervention, 68.6% had mild pain, and 25% had moderate pain. On the second day, 46.8% reported no pain, and 40.6% experienced only mild pain. Wilcoxon test results revealed a significant difference in pain intensity between the pre-intervention and post-intervention periods (p < 0.001). Thus, red ginger consumption is proven to be significantly effective in reducing primary dysmenorrhea pain intensity in adolescent girls.
Ulfa Nur Hidayati Nanik Susanti Lilik Winarsih Arti Wardani An Nisa Fithri Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesmas Prima Indonesia 2025-08-02 2025-08-02 9 2 224 231 Improving the Knowledge and Attitudes of Premenopausal Women in Facing Physical Changes during Menopause through Audiovisual Media Health Education https://jurnal.unprimdn.ac.id/index.php/JKPI/article/view/7432
Lack of understanding about premenopause can affect women's attitude and readiness to face it. This study is a literature review that analyzes five scientific articles published between 2021 and 2024. Articles were selected through targeted searches in Google Scholar and PubMed, then synthesized narratively to describe trends and financing implications. The synthesis results show a significant increase in the number of hemodialysis patients each year, with therapy costs reaching trillions of rupiah. Payment rates set in the INA-CBGs system are often not in accordance with real costs in hospitals, risking a deficit in health facilities and BPJS Kesehatan. The increasing trend of hemodialysis patients places a large economic burden on the national health system. Cost control strategies are needed through primary prevention, early detection of CKD, adjustment of INA-CBGs rates, and development of alternative therapies to maintain service sustainability.
Vira Zul Fahny Putri Aulia Rahma Fitriani Pramita Gurning Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesmas Prima Indonesia 2025-07-07 2025-07-07 9 2 1 10 10.34012/jkpi.v9i2.7232 Relationship of Knowledge to SBAR Communication Attitude During Patient Handover in Recovery Room in Anesthesiology Nursing Students of Aisyiyah University Yogyakarta https://jurnal.unprimdn.ac.id/index.php/JKPI/article/view/7064
Communication failure can lead to malpractice, misunderstanding, delayed diagnosis, service, additional costs, incomplete information, patient and family dissatisfaction and can even cause death, so effective communication with the SBAR method is needed during patient handover in the recovery room. From this population, 60 respondents were selected and divided equally into two groups: one group (n = 30) received counseling via video media, while the other group (n = 30) received counseling through leaflets. Results indicated that adolescents' readiness to face menarche increased following health counseling with video media, with mean scores rising from 26.47 pre-intervention to 31.20 post-intervention, representing an improvement of 4.73 points. Statistical analysis confirmed a significant effect of video-based counseling on readiness (p < 0.001). Similarly, counseling using leaflet media resulted in an increase in readiness, with mean scores improving from 24.73 before intervention to 27.10 after, an increase of 2.34 points, also statistically significant (p < 0.001). Furthermore, comparison between the two groups revealed a significant difference in the effectiveness of video versus leaflet counseling approaches, favoring video media (p = 0.002). These findings suggest that health workers should prioritize the use of engaging media, such as videos, in health promotion efforts aimed at preparing adolescents for menarche.
Erin Padilla Siregar Novita Andriani Br Manjorang Litri Artiani Noviani Sembiring Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesmas Prima Indonesia 2025-07-17 2025-07-17 9 2 156 163 10.34012/jkpi.v9i2.7357 High Complaints of Lower Back Pain Related to Length of Service Among Workers at the Ud. Berkah Gemilang Magetan Bread Factory https://jurnal.unprimdn.ac.id/index.php/JKPI/article/view/6319
Low back pain (LBP) is a musculoskeletal disorder frequently experienced by workers, primarily due to ergonomic factors and work duration. This study aims to analyze the relationship between work duration and low back pain complaints among workers at the UD. Berkah Gemilang Magetan bakery. The study design used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The study sample consisted of 35 workers, selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire and analyzed using the Kendall Tau-b correlation test. The results showed that the majority of workers had a work period of ≥ 3 years (54.3%) and experienced low back pain complaints in the moderate risk category. Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship between work duration and low back pain complaints (ρ = 0.003; CC = 0.491). The longer the work period, the higher the risk of workers experiencing low back pain complaints, especially in the thighs, knees, and feet. The conclusion is that a longer work period increases the risk of low back pain in workers. Suggestions include the application of ergonomic principles, training in correct work postures, and regular health checks to prevent and reduce these risks.

Kata kunci: Nyeri punggung bawah, masa kerja, ergonomi, pekerja pabrik
Pipid Ari Wibowo Retno Widiarini Sonia Fitriani Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesmas Prima Indonesia 2025-07-21 2025-07-21 9 2 164 169 Analysis of Logistics Management Strategy in Increasing Drug Availability at Dalu Sepuluh Tanjung Morawa Community Health Center https://jurnal.unprimdn.ac.id/index.php/JKPI/article/view/7122
Drug logistics management is a crucial aspect in ensuring drug availability in primary healthcare facilities. This study aims to analyze logistics management strategies to improve drug availability at the Dalu Sepuluh Tanjung Morawa Community Health Center. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with two key informants and direct observation. The results showed that all stages of logistics management—planning, procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal—have been implemented in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulations. Planning was carried out using LPLPO and referring to DOEN. Drug storage applies the FIFO and FEFO principles, but storage space is still limited. Distribution is carried out routinely every two months, although delays are often encountered by the district pharmacy installation. Stock monitoring is still predominantly manual, despite the availability of applications such as SIMPUS and SIODANG. The process of eliminating expired drugs has not been routinely scheduled due to limited funds and space. In conclusion, the logistics strategy has been implemented comprehensively, but improvements are still needed in technology integration, storage capacity, human resource training, and drug disposal management to ensure optimal and sustainable availability.
Sri Rahayu Latifah Syaharani Anggi Indah Karera Rabitha Khailila Ihrom Nasution Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesmas Prima Indonesia 2025-07-23 2025-07-23 9 2 170 180 Analysis Of Factors Of Occupational Fatigue In Outpatient Nurses At Siaga Medika Hospital, Banyumas https://jurnal.unprimdn.ac.id/index.php/JKPI/article/view/7025
One factor that can cause workplace accidents is work fatigue. In addition to reducing productivity, work fatigue can also complicate tasks. This study aims to determine the characteristics of participants and determine the factors influencing work fatigue among outpatient nurses at Siaga Medika Banyumas Hospital in 2023. This study used a case study approach with qualitative methodology. The research sample consisted of five people selected using a purposive sampling strategy. Primary and secondary data were obtained through interviews using the Nur Indah Rintonga questionnaire in 2016 and supported by a grounded theory data analysis methodology. The findings of this study are presented in the form of respondent characteristics, namely the identities of respondents who work as three orthopedic nurses and two internal medicine nurses. Age and health conditions are examples of internal factors influencing work fatigue, while workload is an example of an external factor. Based on the feelings of fatigue experienced by respondents, 3 out of 5 respondents said they often felt work fatigue, while the other 2 only occasionally. Based on the interview results, all respondents confirmed that the main cause of their fatigue was due to excessive workload, supported by factors such as age and health status. Based on the results of the research conducted, it is recommended that the work organizer, namely the hospital, re-evaluate the real workload in the field by implementing work policies in the hospital.

Kata kunci : kelelahan kerja, umur, status kesehatan, beban kerja
Muhamad Heriyono Khusnul Khotimah Yuli Trisnawati Gracia Pricillia Imelida Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesmas Prima Indonesia 2025-07-24 2025-07-24 9 2 181 194 10.34012/jkpi.v9i2.7025 Effect of Chest Physiotherapy on Respiratory Effectiveness in Children with Pneumonia https://jurnal.unprimdn.ac.id/index.php/JKPI/article/view/7419
Pneumonia remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in children, especially those with weakened immunity due to factors such as insufficient breast milk, malnutrition, HIV or measles infection, premature birth, or incomplete immunizations. Environmental exposures—including dust, cigarette smoke, and air pollution further elevate the risk. This study aimed to systematically review literature (2019–2024) on the effectiveness of chest physiotherapy in improving clinical outcomes, specifically respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, length of hospital stay, and symptomatic recovery in children with pneumonia. We conducted electronic searches on Google Scholar, NCBI, and accredited Indonesian journals using the keywords “chest physiotherapy” and “pneumonia in children.” From approximately 60 initially identified articles, eight met our inclusion criteria and were reviewed in full. Most studies were quasi‑experimental; one was a randomized controlled trial. Study populations ranged from infants (0–5 years) to older children (6–12 years). Interventions comprised postural drainage, clapping, vibration, percussion, deep‑breathing exercises, and effective coughing techniques. Results from eight studies indicated modest improvements in oxygen saturation and reductions in respiratory rate in some small trials. However, findings were inconsistent, with substantial heterogeneity in methodology, intervention protocols, and outcome reporting. Overall evidence quality was low to moderate. Chest physiotherapy may offer potential benefits in terms of oxygenation and respiratory rate in pediatric pneumonia patients. Nevertheless, current evidence remains limited and heterogeneous. High‑quality randomized controlled trials using standardized protocols are needed to establish stronger recommendations
Lisnawati Lubis Patimah Sari Siregar Basri Basri Dedek Sucahyo Evalatifah Nurhayati Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesmas Prima Indonesia 2025-07-25 2025-07-25 9 2 195 205 10.34012/jkpi.v9i2.7419 The Effect Of Asmaul Husna Dhikr On Blood Pressure In Hypertension Patients Pre-Anesthesia At Yogyakarta Islamic Hospital PDHI https://jurnal.unprimdn.ac.id/index.php/JKPI/article/view/7155
Increased blood pressure during pre-anesthesia if not treated will cause bleeding both intra and post-operatively.Furthermore, it also increases the anesthetic dose, which prolongs the patient's recovery period after anesthesia. One therapy that can lower blood pressure is the recitation of the Asmaul Husana (Asmaul Husana) because it has a relaxing effect on the body. This study aims to determine the effect of dhikr Asmaul Husana on blood pressure in pre-anesthesia hypertension patients at the Yogyakarta Islamic Hospital PDHI..This research method used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design with the Wilcoxon test. The sample in this study were 54 pre-anesthesia patients with accidental sampling. The results of data processing using the Wilcoxon test obtained a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05), which means Ha is accepted.
