UPAYA KEPOLISIAN DAERAH JAMBI (POLDA JAMBI) DALAM PENANGGULANGAN TINDAK PIDANA PERJUDIAN DI WILAYAH HUKUM KOTA JAMBI

Abstract
Perjudian adalah perbuatan yang bertentangan dengan norma agama, moralitas kesusilaan maupun norma hukum. Perjudian sudah menjadi penyakit akut masyarakat, dalam menjaga ketertiban sesuai dengan pasal 303 ayat 1 kuhp. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan mengenai faktor- faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya perjudian ialah faktor lingkungan, faktor rendahnya tingkat pendidikan masyarakat, faktor persepsi tentang probabilitas kemenangan, serta faktor persepsi terhadap keterampilan.Sedangkan pada upaya yang dilakukan polda jambi dalam penanggulangan tindak pidana perjudian yaitu dengan melakukan upaya preventif dengan memberikan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat dengan melakukan sosialisasi, dan upaya represif dengan menyelidiki dan mencari informasi dari masyarakat mengenai daerah-daerah yang di sinyalir sebagai tempat yang rawan akan tindak pidana perjudian. Berdasarkan hasil yang didapatkan diharapkan agar aparat kepolisian khususnya Polda Jambi untuk dapat meningkatkan keamanan salah satunya dengan melakukan patroli minimal 2x24 jam serta melengkapi sarana dana prasarana dalam melakukan tugas rutinitasnya.
