Abstract
Children are a State asset that is the nation's successor, so the State is obliged to protect and ensure the welfare of children. In a society, the child must avoid violence or crime that can harm him. Judging from the background, it can focus on explaining the Criminal Act of Obscenity Against Minors Based on Decision Number 221/Pid. Sus/2022/PN. Medan. So it is necessary to examine how the case is in the Judges' Decision, the application of material criminal law, and how the application of the law by the Judge in imposing Criminal Sanctions. This type of research uses normative juridical methods based on law with the nature of descriptive analysis research. Literature study data collection techniques. That the case was caused by the lack of supervision of both parents due to the divorce, the criminal act of obscenity is already regulated in the Criminal Code, and the sentences imposed are too light and do not contain legal certainty.
