Bahasa Indonesia Prima: Journal of Language, Literature, Education, Teaching, and Social Studies implements a double-blind peer review process to ensure an objective, fair, and high-quality evaluation of submitted manuscripts. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
Reviewer Assignment
Each submitted manuscript is evaluated by two independent reviewers from institutions different from those of the authors. Reviewers are selected based on their academic expertise and research experience relevant to the manuscript’s subject area.
Evaluation Criteria
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on the following criteria:
- Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope
- Originality, novelty, and contribution to knowledge
- Theoretical framework and/or research methodology
- Accuracy and validity of data analysis
- Clarity of writing, structure, and academic presentation
- Compliance with ethical standards in research and publication
- Plagiarism check results (Turnitin or equivalent), with a maximum similarity index of 30%
Decision Process
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial team will inform authors of the decision within approximately two weeks, which may be:
- Accepted
- Accepted with revisions
- Rejected
Reasons for Rejection
A manuscript may be rejected for the following reasons:
- The topic is outside the journal’s scope
- Ethical issues (plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication or falsification)
- Insufficient academic or scientific quality
- Weak theoretical foundation or methodology
- Poor language quality or formatting
- Two unfavorable reviewer recommendations
Author Revisions
Authors are required to carefully respond to all reviewer comments and submit the revised manuscript within the following timeframes:
- Minor revision: 1–2 weeks
- Major revision: 3–4 weeks
This peer review process is designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and academic integrity in all publications of Bahasa Indonesia Prima: Journal of Language, Literature, Education, Teaching, and Social Studies.
