Abstract

Paliatif care aims to reduce patient suffering, improve their quality of life, and provide support to their families. So, the main goal of palliative care is not to cure the disease, but rather to improve the quality of life and what is handled in palliative care is not only for the patient, but also for this family. Consent from the patient and/or family is absolutely necessary before treatment begins. Palliative care is carried out through inpatient care, outpatient care, and home visits/care. Patient can choose where to do the treatment. For example, if a patient in a terminal condition wants to be given care at home, this palliative care can be done through home care.
