Abstract

Arcus longitudinalis medialis (ALM) merupakan lengkung terbesar dari kaki dan memiliki arti penting dari sudut pandang klinis. ALM berfungsi sebagai peredam kejut dan mendistribusikan berat badan. Berdasarkan strukturnya, lengkung longitudinal medial dibagi menjadi tiga yaitu, lengkung normal, datar (pes planus) dan lengkung tinggi (pes cavus). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif analitik yang bertujuan mengetahui gambaran bentuk lengkung telapak kaki pada anak usia 12-22 bulan. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 54 anak dengan metode non probability sampling. Bentuk lengkung telapak kaki dinilai dengan arch index (AI) yang dikemukan oleh Cavanagh dan Rodgers dengan analisis jejak kaki (footprint). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar bentuk lengkung telapak kaki anak berbentuk datar dengan frekuensi 49 anak (90,7%), lengkung normal sebanyak 5 anak (9,3%). Uji Kruskal-Wallis didapati p<0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan arch index pada anak usia 12-22 bulan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin bertambah usia maka bentuk lengkung telapak kaki akan semakin normal.
