Abstract

Chronic renal failure (GGK) is a pathophysiological process with a wide variety of etiologies, resulting in progressive kidney function decline and generally ending with renal failure. Subsequent renal failure is a clinical condition characterized by irreversible kidney function decline at a time requiring permanent renal replacement therapy such as dialysis or renal transplantation. To know the description of cases of chronic renal failure at Royal Prima Hospital Medan, a retrospective descriptive study with case study design has been conducted. Population of all medical records data of patients with chronic renal failure at Royal Prima Hospital of Medan which amounted to 100. The size of the required sample is taken purposively. Found the youngest age 17 years and the oldest 78 years, and the age group most> 60 years 30%. Male sex 69%. The main complaint most 28% nausea. Supplemental complaint is the most peripheral edema 38%. The highest physical examination is a 56% increase in blood pressure (hypertension). Most urea levels> 100 mg / dl 79%. Most creatinine levels> 4 g / dl 100%. Highest hemoglobin level> 10g / dl 41%. Management of most hemodialysis 91%. In view of the above incidence rates should be required prevention efforts by changing healthy lifestyle by away from risk factors trigger the emergence of various diseases that can cause the occurrence of chronic kidney failure.
