FAKTOR LINGKUNGAN YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KRJADIAN TB PARU DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SIMALINGKAR MEDAN

Tuberculosis is a direct infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium Tuberculosis. Each patient can transmit 10-15 people per year. Based on data from Simalingkar Health Center Medan, it was found that there were 114 suspects in 2018 from June to November with 19 smear (+) sufferers. The research type is a Observational Analytical study with a Case Control approach 2: 1. The research variables are Ventilation, Humidity, Temperature and Density. The research samples were 53 and 19 sufferers who were taken from 34 control groups. The data collection was performed by using the checklist. The technique of data analysis used was Chi-Square with the significant value of 0.05. The study showed that there was a relationship between the humidity of the living room (value p = .011) and humidity in the bedroom (value p = .0,000) with the incidence of pulmonary TB in working area of Simalingkar Health Center Medan. There is not any relationship between living room ventilation (Value p =, 0.862), bedroom ventilation (Value p =, 0.839) living room temperature (Value p =, 0.662) bedroom temperature (Value p =, 0.272) and occupancy density (Value p =, 0.677) and Pulmonary TB incidence in working area of Simalingkar Health Center Medan in 2018. Therefore, a respondent should pay attention to the humidity of the room by regular ventilation in a regular room, avoiding a lot of clothes depending, consider alternatives for air circulation by installing exhaust fan as a tool for air circulation in the room. This can be made in the walls of the room or ceiling of the house or by using a dehumidifier to reduce or even eliminate damp air in the room.
